I’m a British born certified postpartum doula, chef and early childhood specialist with over 30 years’ experience in postpartum and early years care and development. I bring experience caring for multiples and preemies and I can help your family get off to a great start whatever your unique situation might be. With kindness and love, I look forward to lightening your load and helping ease you through those early months. I serve most of Contra Costa County and South of Solano County.

    Prenatal Visit

During this visit, we get to know each other and I familiarize myself with your home and your family. My goal is to create a plan that will provide you with culturally appropriate emotional support to assist with the transitions of the postpartum period and having a new baby.

    Postpartum Support

I offer day and night support. Day time I spend a minimum of four hours a day, minimum of two days a week. Helping with the birth recovery, supporting lactation, showing you how to care for your new baby while caring for the new parents. Night time I offer eight hour shifts up to two nights a week allowing you to rest while I take care of the baby.

A fork and knife are placed on a napkin.

    Nutritious & Delicious Meals

Eating well is imperative during the postpartum period. I can visit you weekly or fill up your freezer with ready meals and soup. Enough to keep two people going for a week. We discuss dietary requirements, allergies and food preferences and where you would prefer your ingredients to be sourced.

“Donna provided postpartum care for the birth of our second baby and it was easily the best decision we made to prepare for the fourth trimester! Though we’re experienced parents, two kids and postpartum recovery was a lot to manage. Donna’s help was critical for getting us through those first few months with a newborn and toddler. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and supportive, we loved having her in our home.
