As your postpartum doulas, we will provide evidence-based education, nurture, practical support and newborn care.

What can we do in four hours?

  • Meal Prep

    We will cook nourishing, comforting food to support recovery and rest. We focus on gentle, easy to eat meals, broths, soups, grains, bakes and hydrating snacks all designed to restore energy and aid recovery. We can cook for an hour or two and make you food for that day, or if you choose, we can focus just on meal prep and leave you with food for the week.

  • Emotional Support

    Transitioning into parenthood isn’t easy and I will be there to listen to your concerns. My experience enables me to recognize normal patterns of postpartum mental health and make referrals and recommendations where appropriate.

    My primary role as doula is to “mother” the new parents, give you the time, love and attention you deserve. I gently guide you through the emotions of becoming a parent.

  • Allowing You To Rest

    Rest is imperative to your postpartum recovery. In your four hour visit we hope to provide a calm, relaxed environment where you can lie down without listening for every sound. We will care for baby so you can put your feet up and catch up with a few zzz’s

  • Laundry and Other Houshold Tasks

    In the blur of newborn days, even small household tasks can feel overwhelming. During our visit, we can take care of a few household tasks to help restore some calmness. Tasks such as -folding laundry, resetting the kitchen, emptying the dishwasher, washing bottles and pump parts, tidying shared spaces.

  • Baby Care Education & Support

    During our visit we offer hands on baby care such as soothing, diapering, bathing, feeding, while guiding you through the steps. We teach you practical skills like recognizing hunger cues, paced feeding, babywearing, calming techniques, We will be there to answer your questions, support your decisions and refer you to other support services and professionals when needed.

  • Lactation & Feeding Support

    Feeding a new baby is a learning curve, no matter the method. During our four hours visit we give you calm, hands on guidance to help it all feel manageable. We support lactation with help on latch, positioning, pumping routine, and building confidence.

    Whether you are breast/ chest feeding, pumping, formula or combining approaches we will meet you exactly where you are, offering reassurance, gentle education and steady support.
